Why are they always sold out?

Each week Dining with Steve has a limited number of certificates to sell for each restaurant on the show.

How do I get my certificates?

Once you have placed your order you can print your own certififcates or we will mail the certificates to you.

How long does it take to get the certificates?

Certificates are mailed out the day after they are ordered, except Sundays and Holidays.

Some or all of my certificates are missing, what do I do?

Email us at info@diningwithsteve.com Once in a while certificates get lost in the mail or we make mistakes on filling the orders. Let us know and we will look into it for you.

When do the certificates expire?

The certificates are good for 3 months.

What do I do if certificate expires?

Throw them away! That’s harsh I know. In our contracts with the restaurants we are not allowed to reissue or replace expired certificates. We do not refund expired certificates. It’s like buying a gallon of milk. Once it spoils we can’t resell it. The only exception if for those serving in the military. If you are shipped out we will take care of it for you.

Are the certificates good anytime?

Certificates are good anytime the restaurants are open except on holidays.

What days can I use the certificates?

Certificates are good any day of the week except holidays.

Can I use the left over balance for a tip?

Certificates are not good for tax or tip. Please remember to tip your servers as if you were not getting the discount. It’s important that we take care of the servers. It’s the right thing to do and it keeps the restaurants owners happy with the show.

Can I use the certificate for alcohol?

Certificates are not good for alcohol, tax or tip.

Why did they charge me the tax?

Certificates are not good for alcohol, tax or tip.

How many certificates can I use at the restaurant at one time?

Only one at a time. We must share with the other viewers! The purpose of the show is to get people out to try places the have never been. The restaurant owners want you to use the certificates to give their places a try, but they want as many new people as possible trying their restaurants.

How do I get my restaurant on the show?

Send us an email to info@diningwithsteve.com and we will put you in touch with someone.

What if the restaurant goes out of business before the certificate expires?

We do not refund or replace certificates for restaurants that go out of business. As of July 7, 2009 you have to agree to the terms and conditions in order to purchase your certificate. That is the first item on the terms and conditions page.

In the event that a restaurant goes out of business and you purchased your certificate to that restaurant prior to July 7th, 2009, we will refund or replace any unexpired certificates to that restaurant sold through our website.

Can I print my own certificates?

Certain certificates are available for immediate printing, these certificates have a printer icon () next to the restaurant name. Some certificates are only available by mail (). Under certain circumstances items that are normally available for immediate printing must be mailed. Your delivery methods will be shown in the cart. A shipping and hadling fee is charged on mailed orders.

If you select the "Print Your Own" delivery option, you can use the Print My Certificates link at the left and enter your order number. This will generate a password protected PDF file ready for printing. The password is your last name as it was entered in the shopping cart.
